MorganEugeneTackett View Profile History	I need to learn to forgive myself Posted : 30 Nov, 2025 02:07 PM The reason why I don’t believe anyone will ever want me is not because of the way I see myself on the outside, but because of the person I was in my past. I wasn’t the type of person who went around and caused any trouble, but I used to have a certain addiction and I kept promising God that I would stop, but I kept breaking those promises. I’m not sure I can forgive myself for that. In my eyes I am the lowest scum of the earth. Today in church I was talking (silently) to God, and I believe God told me that I need to forgive myself. It’s strange, because I heard this in a Christian series I’ve been watching lately. It’s hard to forgive myself, knowing that I broke so many promises to God. Post Reply

But you tell us not to forgive. (Matthew 6:14-15) If we cannot even forgive ourselves for the sins we commit against ourselves, how can we forgive others? If one cannot forgive oneself for sinning against oneself, then how is one to forgive others? Jesus says to forgive. And you say you can't forgive yourself and that one cannot forgive oneself. Then you warn of the fires of hell for any notion of self-forgiveness after Jesus tells us to forgive. Amazing! Post Reply

I have been on the site for much too long and I should get off the site. It is far better I disappear and let others argue. The forums are more a place of arguments than it has been a place of agreements It is just another way to waste time. Wiser people have better uses of their time. A wiser person would avoid these sites. There is a remote chance of meeting anyone meaningful. One just wastes their time being on these sites. Post Reply
