nomoreusernamesleft View Profile History	Having Legal Guardianship Over A Wife Posted : 7 Nov, 2025 05:39 AM Hello brethren, This is something I've pondered, having recognized that the godless culture and society is stacked against men as being the head of the wife. God does not command men to force a woman into submission to his authority, the same way Jesus does not force his Bride to obey him. It must be a wilful decision to do what he commands us to do and we should be joyful to do so! As also should a wife be to her husband. I would suggest that if a virtuous woman of God truly wanted to be married to a man of God, then she should enter into a legal covenant with him, giving him legal guardianship over her decisions, so that he can rule his house biblically without her interference. That is NOT to say without her input. A wise man will seek to please his wife and not to be a tyrannical lord, but to be a loving lord caring for the things of this world how he may please his wife. My thoughts toward legal guardianship are to be a means by which a genuinely submissive women would yield her power to her husband the way that the husbands have always had power over their wives until western society ruined the family structure. There are still some countries today where women are not allowed to make decisions like having their tubes tied without the verified consent of her husband, father, brother or uncle. I think that's a great thing. 🙂 Post Reply
