Over a year went by after Jason & I began talking on CDFF. We were both from Ohio but Jason was pursuing his baseball career in Florida/St. Louis, and I had decided to move to California after graduating.
We didn't stay in touch over that year, but looking back we both agree that God needed to mature us both more before we started a relationship.
Jason crossed my mind one day while I was living in California and I decided to contact him. We began catching up. In a funny (only God can be the reason) twist of events I ended up moving back to Cincinnati, and within a few days of being home Jason just happened to be driving through the city on his way to Illinois.
From the first time we met until where our relationship has progressed to, I am constantly left in awe of God's love.
I was cynical about the possibility of a Godly man, one who would lead and exemplify the life of Christ, even existing. It seemed only a character could live in the fairytales.
As everything in my life has unfolded, the Lord has blown all my expectations away. I treasure the dynamic of my relationship with Jason for the way in which it reflects the dynamic of Christ and the church. He enhances my relationship with Jesus, rather than distracting me.
When I struggle with what it means to truly follow Jesus day-to-day I know that I can always pour my feelings out to Jason and have a brother and a love to rest upon.
I NEVER thought my life would end up so beautiful, and I definitely NEVER expected to meet the love of my life on the internet!
But, like they always say, God works in mysterious ways.
